This major parish fundraising event is a longstanding community event. It takes the cooperation of all parishioners. Volunteers are needed to assist with food preparation/serving, working various booths, and setting/cleaning up for the event. The festival takes place the second weekend of August.
Church Capital Campaign
Secure Our Future… Preserve Our Past
In 2008, Immaculate Conception Parish began the Capital Improvement Campaign “Secure Our Future…Preserve Our Past.” Now in its third year, the campaign has raised over $255,000 in pledges. So far, these monies have been used to renovate the former convent building which is now utilized for the parish office staff, the Knights of Columbus and Women’s Club meetings, and a Teen Youth Group meeting space on the second floor. Also, the roof of the Church and steeple has been repaired and improvements made to the sidewalks surrounding the Church.
But more is still needed. In preparation for the 150th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church in 2016, our next major task will be to renovate the exterior and interior of the Church with new paint, new flooring, the removal of the deteriorating dropped ceiling, and improving the handicapped accessibility in the Church.
